Our Story
The Economic Empowerment and Human Rights(SL) Limited is a Sierra Leonean Non-Governmental Organization, focusing on the promotion and protection of Women and Children in rural communities of Sierra Leone, and the involvement of Communities in Development, Democracy and Human Rights, with special focus on the International Convenient on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights.
The Economic Empowerment and Human Rights (SL) Limited was founded on the 10th, January 2010 and is incorporated as company limited by guarantee. The organization is formed exclusively for charitable purposes in general and more specifically to promote the principle of Human Rights, enable Women and the poor access land , Good Governance, Democracy, Gender Equity, provide Social Welfare, Justice and Humanitarian response to Youths, agriculture as the back bone for economic growth, Eradicating early Child Marriage, Advocates, Teenage Pregnancy and FGM/c, Health (SRHR, primary health care and HIV/AIDS), Education (Primary and Secondary Education), Vocational and life skills training, Water Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) for especially women and children in neglected communities and also promote better health, better education and social justices.
